BRAND NEW: BSS Support Pages
In a bid to help local artists, producers and anyone connected with music and the creative industries within the Brighton & Hove area, the team behind Brighton Sound Social have updated the help & support pages within the site.
The pages labelled ‘Creative Block’ takes it name from the partnership alongside Donna Churchill who runs her workshops with the creative industries, and who herself is now looking to transfer her skills and knowledge into the music industry so she can support anyone in the city who may have in the past, or is currently finding certain areas of the music industry challenging when it comes to having creative blocks.
Brighton Sound Social has been running for just over a year now, having launched back in April 2018. Since the events launched, the team have created a range of different events focusing on different topics of interest, giving residents of the local music scene a platform to discuss and debate topics which matter to the local music economy, as well as professionals talking about how to gain skills and other important knowledge to further their careers.
The events bring together students from locals colleges and universities, as well as industry pro’s who network and share experiences and insights on a monthly basis, and this is further reinforced with the brand new partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council who are working with the BSS team to grow the local economy and to debate local concerns and challenges which can be looked at in an open forum style approach, so as to improve the city’s music and creative output, putting Brighton & Hove back on the map as a world class city.
